Andy Harris

Andy Harris

Hello people from my past (and hopefully from my future as well).

When I left the great school I did a great number of things. Apart from being a professional uni student for too many years, I have worked in mines, bars (many), as a salesperson, a drinks machine mechanic and a chook slaughterer (and various other less savoury things).

I have worked and lived in Darwin, Townsville and other various locations around Australia and overseas but finally I find myself working in the Australian Bureau of Statistics in Canberra, back where I started from. I am now considered to be a professional 'statistician' which is quite amazing considering the fact that I nearly failed maths at school and my main interests were in humanities.

I am unmarried but have four wonderful children that I know of, the youngest of which is now 14 (that makes me think as though I should feel old, but I don't).

Sport? I gave up the contact stuff a couple of years ago but I now play serious lawn bowls, social cricket, volleyball and the occasional game of very poor golf.

I am still, and hope to remain, a serious party animal. Looking forward to seeing you all, Andy.

PS   There are no photos of me, I have always been the one holding the camera. Come and see me in person.
