Daniel Neumann

Daniel Neumann (Alfie to many at TPHS) is one of the ones who escaped from Canberra: he did an Arts degree at Monash, majoring in the vocationally useful subject of Ancient Greek, before turning to music as a profession. He has spent 22 years in the State Orchestra of Victoria and is rapidly becoming its repository of tribal memory. He has two daughters, one in 2nd year Arts at the Uni of Melbourne and the other finishing year 12 (the famous Victorian Certificate of Miseducation). And he is slowly acquiring qualifications in psychology, which should be a growth area in the next millennium, in order to be able to eat during his retirement.
