Husband: John Edquist — Dept Communications and the Arts.
Children: Jessica, year 11 Narrabundah College; Jane, year 8 Telopea Park; David, year 6 Forrest Rimary School.

Does anyone else in our year have children attending or have attended Telopea? In 1A’s first maths lesson, I remember Mrs Gilhome saying she had taught some class members parents or uncles so perhaps there are some 3rd generation Telopeans!

Careers/Jobs
1.  Secondary Maths Teacher. First at Narrabundah HS where I taught John Bates’ younger brother, Steve, and various girls who were going out with my younger brother’s best friends. The deputy Principal, then Principal was none other than Mick March (Telopea’s Head of Maths). Later at St Clares where I last saw our old principal Mr McPherson. He came to inspect the school and wound up taking my class as it was his last year before retiring and he wouldn’t get another chance!

2.  Mother — Bettina Arndt’s talkback on 2CN were avidly listened to and provided me with material for leading Nursing Mothers discussion meetings.

3.  Computer Programmer — Dept of Social Security now Centrelink. To achieve this, I completed a Grad Dip in Computing Studies at University of Canberra. One of my tutors there was a girl I had taught at St Clares.
