Went to flying school to become commercial pilot and flight instructor. Worked on South Coast with the Moruya Aero Club. Moved to Sydney and worked for various operators in Bankstown before moving to Queensland. Lived for a time in Rockhampton and Mackay before settling on the Gold Coast in 1975. Joined TAA in 1977 and stayed with them for 11 years. Moved to Hong Kong in 1988 and joined Cathay pacific. Previously flown Boeing 747 200/300/400, Lockheed L-1011 and Airbus A340/330. Presently a Senior Captain on Airbus aircraft and mainly doing long haul flying. Divorced twice (aren’t all airline pilots?). Three children, a daughter who is completing a law degree at Qld University, and two boys who are still at school on the Gold Coast. Presently living on a 42ft boat in Hong Kong because I can’t afford to buy another house. Still a very keen surfboard rider and am now the proud owner of four surfboards. When in Oz I stay in my unit at Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast. Hope to retire in 1998. Back to 'Report Cards' |
