After many years of travelling, have finally settled in Canberra with husband and three children.

Successes and achievements

  • Surviving a boating accident on Port Moresby Harbour.
  • Understanding and responding appropriately to quaint Lancashire expressions such as ‘put wood in t’hole’.
  • Mastering enough Portuguese to avoid ordering a second plate of turkey tails at a Brazilian restaurant.
  • Not drowning in the mandi (an Indonesian bath) nor dying of embarrassment when finding out one is not supposed to get in but merely throw the water over oneself.
  • Surviving 12 months of almost solitary confinement and finally esacaping from Egypt.
  • Not giving birth on an aeroplane.

Hopes and aspirations for the future
To live continuously in one place for more than six years.
