"... a few lines about successes and failures ..." Travel: studied and followed jobs and opportunities around a bit of the world — maybe a success, but certainly fun! Jobs: luckily, I still have one. Half way through a third career. Ten years as an academic at ANU, PNG, London and Sydney. Ten years as a senior bureaucrat in the Victorian Public Service, leaving in 1991 as Deputy Secretary of Ministry of Transport. Now six years leading a consulting group. Family: one wife, Jennifer Lawlor – met in Melbourne – and three children – Tom (14), Clancy (11) and Jessie (4) – a success! Football team: Carlton- a failure in 1997! Hobbies: work – another failure! Health: good – a success, though probably from good luck rather than good planning.Back to 'Report Cards' |
